CETUR - CENTRO DE ESTUDIOS E INVESTIGACIÓNES TURÍSTICAS, UNIVERSIDAD DE SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Spain

Activity overview: The research groups that promote CETUR form a group that tries to study the diversity and mainstreaming of tourism, hoping that in the future it will be expanded to other areas of knowledge.

Specializations, Areas & Projects: Inside USC groups promoters correspond to the disciplines of Geography, Economics, Business, Art History and Philology. Society representatives that participate in the CETUR are the Municipality of Santiago de Compostela, the City Council of Lugo, the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago de Compostela, the Businessmen's Association of Hotel and Restaurant in Santiago, and the Provincial Association of Entrepreneurs of Hospitality in Lugo.

Strategic vision: The CETUR was born as a center that analyzes the necessary interdisciplinary nature of tourism and the diversity of interests that move around this activity: public authorities (in this case municipal) are responsible in making decisions, with major economic impact, social and environmental issues; and the private sector that has the challenge of investing in a business environment of great competition.
