ISIT Pomorskie Travel

Since 2009, the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship has been implementing a state-of-the-art interactive tourism information system in the Pomorskie region. The system comprises a network of 245 interactive screens in strategic locations. Each station provides visitors with visually stunning information in six languages from the area and a diverse array of tools to plan their visit. This initiative is only possible due to an industry wide partnership of over 100 local self-government units and more than 20 local tourists’ organizations, tourism businesses, attractions and academia.

The 2013 UNWTO Award confirms the unique character of the region's digital tourist information system. This opens an interesting perspective on the development of interactive services in public space for communities all around the world. We believe that by utilizing our technological solutions we can influence the development of the tourism economy and cooperate with digital media support.
