The China Tourism Economy Monitoring and Early-Warning System (TEMEWS) is a complete mechanism that symmetrically reviews that nation’s tourism economy performance and foresees industry’s development trends on a quarterly base. This project initiated in the beginning of 2009. It has consecutively provides quarterly reference for China National Tourism Administration, the state government, and major tourist enterprise in China. The TEMEWS project has a created a comprehensive database of China tourism economy, including tourism economy performance, enterprise operational data, market surveys. The TEMEWS is the only mechanism that integrates tourism economy research into government macroeconomic control in China.
